budget
2025.
The State Treasurer emphasized that he was still studying how K/L spending would be absorbed in the remainder of 2025. Purbaya said that several of them were still pursuing budget realization according to the initial plan.
“There are also several (K/L) who have given up and returned the money to us. We calculated that IDR 3.5 trillion has been returned so far because they can’t afford to spend it,” said Purbaya in a Media Briefing at the Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, Friday (14/11).

However, he was reluctant to reveal which K/L had given up spending this year’s budget.
“Ah, that’s a secret,” he said.
According to Purbaya, the problem of budget absorption is currently being monitored by the Government Strategic Program Acceleration Task Force (P2SP).The task force was only launched on Wednesday (22/10) by Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto.
He said that his subordinate, namely the Director General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance, Astera Primanto Bhakti, was also part of the task force.
“That’s the one monitoring budget absorption, it’s been transferred there. So, there’s no issue. Later they will do it, the task force will do it, not me anymore. I do other things, there’s a lot (of the finance minister’s duties),” he explained.
