, from the original IDR 200 billion to IDR 2 trillion.
This followed complaints from entrepreneurs who are members of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).According to him, business actors can now apply for credit from the Indonesian Export Financing Institution (LPEI).
“It turns out that if we look at LPEI IDR 200 billion. Now we are preparing (credit) IDR 2 trillion for textile and furniture companies,” said Purbaya at a press conference at the Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (23/12).

“So, they can come to LPEI, the interest is 6 percent. That’s what I promised them (entrepreneurs), they can come to LPEI,” he stressed.
Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa emphasized that the credit was channeled to support the export activities of local entrepreneurs.
Previously, the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anindya Bakrie, and staff visited the Purbaya Minister of Finance’s office to discuss the furniture and electronics industries. He believes that there needs to be deregulation or incentives provided by the government so that the trade surplus in this sector does not become thinner.
The man who is familiarly called Anin also highlighted the pressure on import tariffs imposed by the United States (US) of 19 percent. Moreover, Uncle Sam’s market absorbs around 54 percent of Indonesia’s total exports of furniture and crafts.
“This industry (furniture) is growing quite healthily, but the trade surplus is shrinking. Why? Because there are also imports coming into the domestic market. So, here we were discussing what deregulation or incentives could be done,” said Anin after meeting Purbaya at the Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, Friday (19/12).
Finally, entrepreneurs claim to be actively diversifying exports to non-traditional markets.Delivery of furniture items is now targeting other regions, such as the European Union and Canada.
