explained the reasons for requiring companies to send financial reports to their ministries starting in 2027.
“For Tbk (public company) it’s easy, they’re already used to it (sending financial reports). So, it’s nothing new,” explained Purbaya after the 2025 Bank Indonesia Annual Meeting (PTBI) at Grha Bhasvara Icchana, Central Jakarta, Friday (28/11).
“What I’m afraid of is small companies, but I haven’t seen it yet. Small companies are not required to (send financial reports to the Ministry of Finance/Kemenkeu) I think,” he continued.

The State Treasurer did not answer firmly whether Government Regulation (PP) Number 43 of 2025 concerning Financial Reporting was specifically aimed at pursuing tax revenues.He only emphasized that this was normal for Tbk companies.
On the other hand, Purbaya emphasized that the obligation to send financial reports will not apply to small companies.
“(Is financial reporting to the Ministry of Finance for the purpose of pursuing tax revenues?) If Tbk also has it every quarter, you just have to collect the data. So, there’s nothing new,” answered Purbaya.
The Ministry of Finance is now encouraging the formation of a financial reporting ecosystem that is interconnected, standardized and consistent across all sectors.This was done to improve the quality of national financial data.
The ministry led by Purbaya hopes that standardized financial reports will be able to support the preparation of fiscal and economic policies based on actual data.
“PP 43 of 2025 is designed to strengthen the foundations of transparent and accountable financial governance so that the resulting financial reports can be a reliable reference for decision making at the corporate level and public policy,” said Director General of Financial Sector Stability and Development at the Ministry of Finance, Masyita Crystallin, in an official release, Monday (24/11).
Masyita said this new policy would be implemented gradually and proportionally so that it could run effectively without disrupting the operational stability of business actors.
