Although he did not mention exact figures, the State Treasurer claimed he would adjust to the request of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).
“For disaster management, we will provide sufficient budget for that, depending on requests from BNPB. There is and it is quite large, there is no need to be afraid about that,” said Purbaya at the 2025 Financial Forum at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Central Jakarta, Wednesday (3/12).

Purbaya’s statement follows the handling of flash floods and landslides that hit around 50 districts/cities in Aceh, North Sumatra (North Sumatra), and West Sumatra (Sumbar) since last week.
Purbaya only emphasized that BNPB still has a large budget to handle the disaster on the island of Sumatra.
“BNPB still has quite a lot of funds, but if it is lacking, he can apply for additional funds and we are ready. Waiting from BNPB, but the money is ready, quite a lot,” he explained after the event.
Based on the 2026 RAPBN Financial Note, next year’s BNPB budget is only IDR 491 billion. This figure has dropped drastically compared to the 2025 budget which touched IDR 2.01 trillion.
He previously also emphasized that the Ministry of Finance is ready to inject the BNPB budget, if additional funds are needed.
“There is still around IDR 500 billion more in the BNPB budget which is ready. Then if we need additional funds later, we are ready to add more and it is already in the budget,” said Purbaya, Monday (1/1), quoted from
