PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (
PTPN IV
) participated in the celebration of the culinary diversity of the archipelago through the 2025 Indonesian Culinary Exploration (JKI) which was held 14-16 November 2025 at Benteng Field, Medan.
This festival is an initiative of the BUMN Regulatory Agency through synergy with large companies such as BRI, MIND ID, KAI, and PTPN.

This event involved more than 80 culinary MSMEs who came to bring a variety of Indonesian culinary flavors.Not only that, they also brought the stories and creativity of their respective regions to thousands of festival visitors.
PTPN IV’s involvement is said to be not just support, but also part of a long-term vision in strengthening the role of BUMN as agents of community economic empowerment.
Through this festival, the state company wants to show that the company’s impact is not only present through the plantation sector, but also from direct contributions to the development of MSMEs.
This collaborative spirit also shows that local economic strength can be built when large and small sectors meet on one inclusive platform.
This event also introduced the PaDi UMKM platform, a form of digitalization for transactions that are faster, transparent and well recorded.PaDi participants have the opportunity to continue transactions with consumers and state-owned enterprises after the festival is over.
For many MSMEs, the PaDi platform is a new door to a wider market, an important step towards more modern business standards.
BP BUMN Expert Staff, Loto Srinaita Ginting, said that JKI 2025 is part of BUMN’s big agenda to encourage MSMEs to be more productive, adaptive and competitive.
He emphasized that BUMN support does not stop at administrative guidance, but must be realized in the form of real activities that provide direct results for business actors.This is in line with the values upheld by PTPN IV in supporting the economic growth of the surrounding community.

The event, which lasted for three days, was continuously packed with visitors, from morning to evening, and resulted in interaction between buyers and MSME players.Many MSMEs also recorded a significant increase in sales.
However, it is not just transactions that take place at this event, but the experience of selling at large-scale events gives them a new understanding of consumer preferences, product display techniques, and effective service strategies, and becomes an important capital to strengthen the business mentality of MSMEs.
PTPN IV also admitted that they felt direct benefits from their participation in this event.Involvement in JKI opens up opportunities for PTPN IV to expand its cross-provincial partnership network, enrich its CSR programs, and strengthen the company’s image as a BUMN that is close to the community.
Apart from that, involvement in this event is also proof that the coaching carried out by the company does not stop on paper, but actually results in sales growth and increased capacity for MSME players.
“This is a good event, very interesting and can be held regularly. It can bring Indonesian MSMEs, especially in Medan, to a higher class,” said the Head of Procurement and IT.
