DKI Provincial Government
preparing for the implementation of social work criminal penalties in Jakarta.
This is manifested through the signing of a preliminary agreement, aka a memorandum of understanding (
Memorandum of Understanding
/MoU) between the Prosecutor’s Office and the DKI Provincial Government at Jakarta City Hall, Monday (15/12).
The signing of the MoU was carried out by DKI Governor Pramono Anung and Head of the DKI High Prosecutor’s Office (Kajati) Patris Yusrian Jaya.

Chief Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum) Asep Nana Mulyana explained that this is an implementation of social education from Law Number 1 of 2023 which will come into effect in January 2026.
“Today we Jampidum, on behalf of the leadership, witnessed the signing of the MoU between the Governor of DKI Jakarta and Mr. Kajati, Mr. Patris today. And also a cooperation agreement between the Regent, Mayor of Jakarta and the Kajari of Jakarta,” said Asep, at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday (15/12).
Asep said that DKI Jakarta is the 29th province in Indonesia that is ready to cooperate in implementing the social work criminal law .
He added that the prosecutor’s office would coordinate the implementation of social work crimes with the regional government.
“In the future, Mr. Kajati and the Governor will formulate what Jakarta needs. Earlier, the Governor told us that we need a lot, for example the yellow troops who will help clean up Jakarta,” said Asep.
On the same occasion, Pramono assessed that the implementation of social work sanctions was considered beneficial for DKI Jakarta.
“As Governor of Jakarta, I am truly very grateful for this memorandum of agreement because it is very beneficial for Jakarta,” said Pramono.
