According to the latest US media reports

, the rejection occurred when they met at the White House on November 18.

During the meeting, Trump was said to want Saudi to join a regional peace agreement known as the Abraham Accords.However, MbS refused.
“In the November 18 meeting, it was Trump who raised the issue and urged MbS to join the Abraham Accords,” Axios reported, citing US officials.
“At that time, the conversation became tense. When Trump pressed, Prince MbS actually fought back,” continued the officials, quoted by English

Prince MbS, they continued, responded firmly to Trump’s request and stuck to his position.
Two US officials also described MbS as a “strong leader.”
During the press conference, MbS also emphasized Saudi’s position of wanting peace in the Middle East.
Furthermore, MbS said the Kingdom seeks peace with Israel, Palestine and the region as a whole.However, with a note through a “clear plan” that guarantees a real path to a two-state solution
The two-state solution is a framework for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict agreed upon by the international community by establishing two countries that coexist with each other, respect each other and recognize each other’s sovereignty.
Riyadh has repeatedly stressed the need for a just resolution that starts with the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and leads to comprehensive and lasting regional peace.
Saudi Arabia has long positioned itself as a supporter of dialogue and peaceful solutions in the Middle East.
