DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung
said that his party had set the 2026 Jakarta Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP).

will be announced today, Wednesday (24/12).
Pramono explained that the DKI Jakarta Wage Council had carried out intensive discussions and narrowed down the recommendations which are now the basis for the governor’s decision.

“The Wage Council has held meetings and discussions many times and has narrowed it down, and asked the Governor of DKI Jakarta to make a decision,” said Pramono at City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (23/12).
“What is clear is that I have signed the Governor’s decision. That’s all. But I will announce it tomorrow (today),” continued Pramono.
Pramono emphasized his commitment to comply with Government Regulation (PP) Number 49 of 2025 concerning wages as the main guideline.
“As Governor of DKI Jakarta, I will definitely comply with the PP that regulates this, namely PP Number 49. So that is what we use as a reference,” he said.
Pramono also revealed additional incentives for workers.These incentives include transportation, food and health assistance, which will be included in the Governor’s Decree.
“In the Governor’s decision, we also convey that the DKI Jakarta government is providing incentives related to transportation, related to food, and related to health,” said Pramono.
Responding to concerns about a national strike from labor groups who had demanded a 10 percent increase, Pramono was optimistic that this policy would be accepted by all parties.
