With creative financing, he said, sports assets can provide economic value, social benefits and sustainable environmental impacts.
Several regional assets developed to strengthen community activities include the Bulungan GOR, Block S Field, as well as the GOR area and Sunter Reservoir.
Apart from that, PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) BUMD assets such as the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Jakarta International Velodrome (JIV), Jakarta International Equestrian Park (JIEP), and the Ancol area are also being prepared as centers for hosting international sports and entertainment.
Pramono gave an example of the use of JIS, which is currently the headquarters of the Persija football club, which also attracts the interest of tourists who want to experience the typical atmosphere of Jakarta.
“The entire development plan is directed at forming a multifunctional area that integrates sports, residential, recreation, entertainment and economic activities,” he said.
He also ensured that the entire area was connected to the public transportation network through the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) concept.
“Jakarta opens the door to the widest possible collaboration for partnerships, investment and innovation. We want to build a sports ecosystem that is healthy, resilient and globally competitive,” he said.
