He said that currently, the world is facing various environmental problems, ranging from climate change to environmental damage.
“Perhaps we need to add to the syllabus, in subjects, as well as awareness of how important it is for us to protect our natural environment, protect our forests,” said Prabowo on National Teachers’ Day, Jakarta, Friday (28/11) yesterday.

Prabowo said that teaching about environmental awareness had actually been taught in schools.
However, because environmental problems have become increasingly massive lately, he feels that these lessons need to be increased.
He emphasized that students at school must have full awareness of protecting natural ecosystems.
“Really preventing the felling of trees, destruction of forests, we really have to keep the rivers clean, so they can channel water that can suddenly come,” he said.
He also invited all teaching staff in Indonesia to start intensifying this step.
Prabowo said this was an effort that must be made by all parties without exception.
