The Padang-Bukittinggi access national road was badly damaged after being hit by flash floods.
The damaged road near the Anai Valley waterfall has been concreted and is in a flat condition.This section of road can now be used in both directions by motorbikes and cars.
Before these two points, Prabowo visited the refugee post at SD 05 Kayu Pasak Palembayan, Agam Regency.
There, Prabowo promised temporary shelter to the residents.He said that the shelter there had started to be built.
Prabowo said the government would not remain silent.He said that all parties are now working hard to overcome this problem.
“Temporary residential houses have started to be built, they can be completed, temporary housing for a month so that ladies and gentlemen don’t have to live in tents,” said Prabowo.
After that, he also promised to build permanent housing for the victims.
According to him, the promised permanent housing is also appropriate and good enough for the residents there to live in.
“I see that the quality is quite good, the area is large, the permanent residence is also quite large, 70 m2,” he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that Prabowo’s visit to West Sumatra today was to ensure the acceleration of handling aid to the community.
Pras also expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in disaster management.
“Thank you to all parties. Once again thank you BNPB, Basarnas, provincial government, district government, our brothers and sisters who continue to work together. Thank you,” he said.
