inaugurated the Emirates-Indonesia (KEI) Cardiology Hospital in Jebres,
Solo
, Central Java, on Wednesday (19/11).
In his speech, Prabowo said that KEI Hospital was a symbol of friendship between the Indonesian people and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Apart from thanking UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for providing grant funding for the construction of KEI Hospital, Prabowo also touched on his predecessor, the seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo Jokowi).

“The construction of this hospital was also an initiative of former President Joko Widodo. It was started on his initiative when he took office,” said Prabowo.
“Yes, I’m very lucky, yes, it’s done, I’m the one who made it official. That fate cannot be denied,” he added while laughing.
Prabowo emphasized that improving health services is one of the government’s obligations.According to him, a country can be called successful if it is able to provide adequate health services for all people.
Therefore, Prabowo hopes that the KEI Hospital in the Central Java region will become a benchmark for reducing fatality rates, speeding up access and becoming a center for education, innovation and research.
“I think this will give new hope to heart patients, there is no need to go far for treatment abroad, we have the best and best facilities, we will pursue the best health services we can provide,” he said.
This KEI hospital is the result of a development grant from the United Arab Emirates to Indonesia worth IDR 417.3 billion for the development of international standard heart services.
KEI Hospital is designed as a referral center for cardiac services for the Central Java, DIY and support areas as a teaching hospital and cardiovascular research center.
The Ministry of Health appointed Dr Sardjito Hospital, which is based in Sleman, DI Yogyakarta, as the full management of KEI Hospital to provide services globally.
KEI Hospital has started operating since October 6 2025, with emergency, outpatient and inpatient service capacity including VIP rooms and President Suite and ICU and Cathlab support.
Apart from that, KEI Hospital is projected to become one of the leading heart service centers in the Asian region and is able to handle heart disease cases with high service standards.
