Bima Arya said that this meeting discussed various disasters that occurred in a number of areas in Aceh, North Sumatra and Sumatra as well as discussing infrastructure and economic conditions in the regions.
“Yes, it seems like that is the case, yes. But it seems there are also other things such as infrastructure in the region, economic conditions in the region, and so on,” said Bima.
Bima said the condition of communication channels in a number of affected areas of North Sumatra, West Sumatra and Aceh were still cut off due to natural disasters.
He said he also established communication with relevant regional heads.
“And communication channels are still down there,” he said.
Bima also said that he had sent the Director General of Regional Administration to monitor conditions in disaster-affected areas.
“Because PLN was also cut off, I communicated and coordinated with the Deputy Minister of Communication and Technology, Mr. Angga, who quickly, yes, tried to coordinate with PLN and the providers to restore communication lines,” he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Communication and Technology Meutya Hafid said he was also coordinating with cellular operators regarding signal outages in a number of areas.
“And the most important thing is also to inform the public which points are affected,” said Meutya.
