in 2026 it will remain the same as this year.He mentioned savings in the central government’s budget for Papua’s special autonomy fund.
Prabowo conveyed this during a briefing to regional heads throughout Papua at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (16/12).Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa was present at the meeting.
“This year’s special autonomy funds have not been disbursed, Minister of Finance,” asked Prabowo.

Purbaya said that special autonomy funds amounting to IDR 12.69 trillion had been disbursed this year.Meanwhile, in 2026 the special autonomy fund will decrease to IDR 10 trillion.
Prabowo said the government will provide additional savings if there are savings that can be made in other sectors in the 2026 APBN.
“Okay, next year we will try, if there are savings in other fields, we will equalize them again,” said Prabowo.
Afterwards, Prabowo emphasized to all regional heads in Papua not to misuse the special autonomy funds.
He reminded them not to use the money to travel abroad.
He said they all work for the people, their performance is entirely accountable to the Papuan people.
“But I really ask the governor, regents to be responsible, regents and governors not to travel abroad too much using special autonomy funds,” he said.
After the meeting, Velix Wanggai touched on this issue.He emphasized that Prabowo also advised that there should be no APBD leaks.
He stated that the entire budget must be used as well as possible for the Papuan people.
