Pratikno said that currently logistical assistance is also continuing to be sent to affected areas, both from the government and from non-government organizations.
“So, all national forces are mobilized to speed up the emergency response and immediately recover as quickly as possible,” he added.
He also said that his party was preparing recovery scenarios for areas affected by this disaster, including in terms of infrastructure.
“At the same time, we are also preparing scenarios for recovery. Rehabilitation and reconstruction. Of course we focus on emergency response, but we are preparing the rehabilitation and reconstruction scenario stages,” he said.
Transportation infrastructure is one of the most affected by this hydrometeorological disaster.A number of areas in Aceh and North Sumatra are still isolated, which makes it difficult to distribute aid.
On the same occasion, Head of BNPB Suharyanto said that access to several areas in North Sumatra was still impassable, including the Tapanuli to Sibolga route. He said the access route was blocked by a very long landslide, reaching almost 50 kilometers.
He said the joint team was continuing to work to open access to the road.According to Suharyanto, this access may only be fully opened in the next 3 to 4 days.
In Aceh, several areas that need attention are Aceh Tamiang, Bener Meriah and Central Aceh.Like Tapanuli and Sibolga, these areas face access problems.
In West Sumatra, the areas affected by this disaster can be accessed by land. Some of the areas affected in West Sumatra are Padang City, Padang Pariaman, Solok, Agam, Tanah Datar and Padang Panjang.
“The homework that still needs to be united by this National Task Force is indeed for North Sumatra in the two most prominent city districts, Central Tapanuli and Sibolga,” said Suharyanto.
“Then Aceh, because much of Aceh is still cut off (access),” he added.
Furthermore, Suharyanto said that the death toll as a result of the disaster in the 3 provinces reached 316 people as of Sunday (30/11) afternoon.Meanwhile, 289 people are still declared missing.
