Prabowo conveyed this while showing a video of students in an area trying to get to school by crossing a river because there was no bridge.
Prabowo then said that he might not hold meetings on weekends in 2027. However, provided that all bridges in remote areas of Indonesia have been built.
“Maybe in ’27 there won’t be a Saturday-Sunday meeting, until these bridges for our people are finished, how do you agree? Thank you all,” said Prabowo followed by the word ‘agree’ by his staff who were present at the event.
On that occasion, Prabowo also said that he was forming a Special Bridge Emergency Task Force tasked with building bridges in remote areas of the country.
He no longer wants Indonesian students to have trouble on their way to school.
Prabowo instructed the Ministry of Education and Technology to deploy students majoring in Civil Engineering to villages to help build bridges in remote areas.
Apart from that, he also instructed TNI and Polri soldiers to participate in handling this problem.
“I ask that this be resolved in the shortest possible time,” he said.
