shares

Indonesia to the regional government (Pemda) of Papua.
Prabowo asked the governors of a number of provinces in Papua to discuss the distribution of the 10 percent share divestment quota.
“There is a direction from the President (Prabowo) for us to discuss the Freeport divestment scheme, especially the 10 percent that is the right of indigenous Papuans. We will discuss it between the governors in Tanah Papua and this is included in the budget framework,” said Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Acceleration of Special Autonomy for Papua Velix Wanggai after meeting Prabowo at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (16/12).

Velix emphasized that they would discuss the distribution of the Freeport quota with two of Prabowo’s subordinates, namely the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.
On the other hand, Papua Governor Mathius Fakhiri said that Freeport’s divestment plan would be discussed internally first.He emphasized that he had to discuss this matter with other governors in Papua.
“Of course we will do this as soon as possible after returning home, because we will hold a GMS regarding Papua divestment. Later we will report to the minister and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Bahlil) what the next steps will be,” explained Fakhiri.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia previously confirmed that Indonesia would receive an additional 12 percent stake from Freeport.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM who is also the CEO of BPI Danantara Rosan Roeslani claimed that the additional 12 percent shares were obtained for free.
