Several houses and shophouses to offices from the Tamiang river bridge to past the Aceh Tamiang Police Headquarters on Wednesday (10/12) evening could be seen with live lights.However, there are still many residential areas that look dark along these two locations.
Because the electricity was still not on, many residents burned the boards left by collapsed houses hit by flash floods on the side of the road.Most of them are refugees who stay in tents on the side of the road.

Meanwhile, not far from the Aceh Tamiang Police Headquarters, there was no longer any electricity visible in residents’ houses or shops.For lighting, some houses and shops use lamps

Darkness enveloped the flood victims at night all the way to the border of Aceh Tamiang and Langsa City.In Langsa City, electricity was also seen to be out in the majority of the area down to the city core.
One resident named Dedy said that pitch black conditions had occurred since the start of the flood.The electricity has only been on for the last few days.He said a number of residents were forced to burn wood for lighting and cooking.

Meanwhile, the Head of Protocol and Communications, Head of the Aceh Tamiang Regional Secretariat, Zuwan Fakhri, did not deny that electricity was still out in the majority of the Aceh Tamiang area.The district government is said to have asked PLN to speed up getting electricity back on.
“We have asked PLN to turn everything on as soon as possible,” said Zuwan Fakhri via short message.
