Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, was controlled by the perpetrator remotely using a remote.
Dansat Brimob Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Henik Maryanto said this conclusion was based on a number of evidence findings in the mosque area.
“It can be concluded at the first crime scene at the mosque, that based on the material found, the series was a series of active bombs using a remote,” said Henik at a press conference, Tuesday (11/11).

Henik explained that the bomb that exploded in the mosque used four AAAA batteries, the initiator was

“Well, we couldn’t find the remote in the mosque,” he continued.
Henik said that the remote used by the perpetrator was found at the location of the second explosion, namely at the reading park and waste bank.
“So at the time of the discovery, our analysis was that the suspected perpetrator of the explosion was not in the mosque, because we found the remote in the reading park,” he said.
Previously, an explosion occurred at SMA 72 North Jakarta, Friday (7/11) at around 12.15 WIB, in the school mosque area during Friday prayers.
There were no fatalities in the incident.However, there were 96 people injured in the incident.
Spokesperson for Densus 88 Anti-terror Police AKBP Mayndra Eka Wardhana stated that the explosion at SMA 72 Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta was not an act of terrorism, but just a general criminal act.
“There was no finding of any terrorist activity carried out by ABH (children in conflict with the law). So the actions carried out were purely general criminal acts,” he said at a press conference.
