He explained that his party would also investigate further regarding access to the building’s stairs which were suspected to be small. This is known to have made it difficult to evacuate trapped victims.
“Indeed, that (alleged narrow staircase) is one of the instruments that we will later test and carry out a forensic examination,” said Romy.
Romy said that his party experienced a number of obstacles in the crime scene processing process. One of them, because conditions at the location were starting to get dark.
Then, another challenge experienced by the team was regarding witness testimony.According to Romy, the witnesses are still experiencing trauma so they cannot be questioned yet.
The bodies of the dead victims were still intact
Apart from that, Romylus also revealed that all 22 victims who died in the incident were found intact and easy to identify. In this way, it is hoped that the identification process can run smoothly.
“Therefore, there is no need for forensic examination activities by the Kimbiofor Team, which should carry out examinations of the victim and also DNA examination, because the victim’s condition is intact and can still be recognized,” he said.
