“Investigators found that there were strong indications of the perpetrator’s urge to take revenge (because he was upset about being cheated on). This occurred repeatedly, causing pain to certain parties,” said Budi at the South Jakarta Police, Monday (24/11).

Budi said that it was because of that motive that the perpetrator kidnapped his stepson at a mosque in the Pesanggrahan area, on March 6 2025. At the time of the kidnapping, he said the victim did not stop crying.
The perpetrator, who was annoyed, then smothered Alvaro to death.
Budi explained that the perpetrator then put the victim’s body in his car garage for three days after kidnapping the victim.Alex then put Alvaro’s body in black plastic and took it to the Tenjo area, Bogor to be disposed of.
“The perpetrator wrapped the body in a black plastic bag and threw it in the Tenjo area, at the Cilalay Bridge on March 9 2025 at night or 3 days after it was discovered that AKN (the victim) was missing,” said Budi.
Previously, Alvaro’s grandfather, Tugimin also said that Alex was jealous of his wife so he took revenge on Alvaro.
“Jealous of his wife, if he doesn’t answer the phone, he thinks his wife is cheating on him, playing with another man,” T ugimin told reporters in Jakarta, Monday (24/11).
Moreover, Arum still went to Malaysia even though Alex had forbidden it.
“In jealousy, revenge eventually arose. And at that time I was not allowed to go to Malaysia to work, but I left too,” said Tugimin.
Died in prison
Alex has been arrested and made a suspect and detained.However, during the investigation process as a suspect, Alex was said to have died due to suspected suicide.
The police have not yet explained in detail the cause of Alex’s death.
“(The deceased) is already in custody,” said South Jakarta Police Chief Nicolas Ary Lilipaly to journalists at the Brimob Satlat, Cikeas, Bogor, West Java, Monday (24/11).

Alvaro Kiano Nugroho was declared missing since March 6.The incident began when Alvaro received permission to perform Maghrib prayers at the mosque near his house in the Ulujami area, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta.
However, after the Maghrib prayer it turned out that Alvaro had not come home.So, the family looked for his whereabouts and his friend admitted that he was not with him when praying.
