From the initial examination, four British and Australian foreigners with the initials T.E.B.or Bonnie Blue, LAJ, INL and JJTW were designated as suspects because they had a dominant role in content creation activities at that location.
Furthermore, from the results of the examination of 16 foreign witnesses, all of them admitted that they were in the studio to take part in the process of creating entertainment-themed reality show content. They said that this activity had been engineered to look exciting and interesting on social media, but emphasized that there were no pornographic elements in it.
Based on information from the police who came to the crime scene, they admitted that they were creating collaborative content in the form of games. The same thing was also conveyed by 14 Indonesian witnesses who worked as studio crew who stated that no pornographic content was produced.
Then, during an examination of the four reported parties, investigators found that the foreigners returned to Bali on November 6 2025 to create daily content and also go on holiday.
“They admitted that they were aware of the prohibition on the production of pornographic content in Indonesia. Investigators also examined a video that was made at a hotel in the Berawa area (in North Kuta). However, no elements of pornography or distribution of unlawful content were found,” said Arif.
Criminal experts who were asked for their opinion also emphasized that the elements of violating the pornography law and the ITE law have not been fulfilled, unless it can be proven that there has been production or distribution of content that is not for personal consumption.
Then, the results of the exposure with the Badung District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari) also stated that even though a private video with sexual content was found on the cellphone of one of the respondents, the content was not shared with other parties so it did not meet the criminal elements.
However, the Bali immigration authorities found indications of violations. The four reported parties are suspected of abusing their residence permits because they used Limited Stay Permit Cards (KITAS) and tourist visas to work on creating commercial content.
“We ensure that the entire process is carried out based on legal facts and carries out a joint investigation with immigration and pornography elements. So far it has not been fulfilled, but there are strong allegations of violations of the road law, as well as immigration violations which we are still investigating,” said Arif.
“The Badung Police will continue to coordinate with the prosecutor’s office and immigration to determine the next legal steps,” he added.
