The suspect or child in conflict with the law (ABH) is a student who was injured in the incident, and has been treated at the Kramatjati Police Hospital, East Jakarta.The alleged perpetrator was designated as ABH because he is still a minor.
“From the preliminary fingerprint results, the child in conflict with the law or ABH who was involved in the explosion was an active high school student acting independently, not related to any particular terror network,” said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Pol Asep Edi Suheri in a press conference, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/11) afternoon.

In the explosion case, Asep said the police had examined 16 witnesses including victims, teachers, students, ABH’s family and the alleged perpetrator.Apart from that, the police have also conducted a search of ABH’s house.
In the explosion that occurred during Friday prayers at SMA 72 last weekend, dozens of people were injured.One of the injured victims was the alleged perpetrator.
The alleged perpetrator was treated intensively at the Jakarta Islamic Hospital (RSIJ), then transferred to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, earlier this week.
Police said the transfer was carried out to facilitate the investigation process after the alleged perpetrator’s condition made it possible for him to be questioned.
