stated that losses from burning kiosks and destroying vehicles in front of the Kalibata Heroes’ Cemetery (TMP), South Jakarta (Jaksel) reached IDR 1.2 billion.
It is known that the riot was the result of a beating carried out by six members of the National Police against two men who worked as eagle eyes until they died.

“In general, an estimate has been made of approximately IDR 1.2 billion of the total losses to stalls, motorbikes and cars as well as residents’ windows yesterday,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Bhudi Hermanto, Saturday (13/12).
Bhudi said the police were still waiting for reports to come in to investigate the burning and destruction incident in front of the Kalibata TMP.
“We will still wait for this because yesterday’s incident is still traumatizing for local residents, we are still waiting for reports. If the police report is received, Metro Police investigators will definitely come down and will carry out a process of coercive measures against the perpetrators of the arson,” he said.
Regarding the case of the beating of the two eagle eyes, six members of the National Police have been named as suspects.
The six members are Brigadier IAM, Bripda JLA, Bripda RGW, Bripda IAB, Bripda BN and Bripda AM.They were named as suspects charged under Article 170 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code.
The six of them will also undergo a code of ethics trial next week.
