“We will coordinate follow-up with the toll road management to settle the outstanding payments,” he said.
Dhanar also added that his party had visited driver A’s residence and provided him with driving safety education.
The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya is investigating a luxury car that broke through the Simatupang Toll Gate as the main entrance to the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) in South Jakarta.
“It has been monitored and checks are being carried out,” explained the Head of the Highway Patrol (PJR) Unit (Kasat) of the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Dhanar Dhono Vernandhie when confirmed, in Jakarta, Wednesday (19/11).
Dhanar also explained that his party had carried out an inspection regarding the vehicle number, but could not explain in detail who the owner of the vehicle was.
“Meanwhile (vehicle number checks) are being carried out,” he said.
Previously, it went viral on Instagram social media which was uploaded by the account @dashcam_owners_indonesia about a car following a pickup in front of it to “tap” at the toll gate.
“Tap” is the act of taping or placing an electronic card (e-toll) on the machine at the toll gate to make a payment transaction.
However, after the pickup made a “tap”, the car was seen to be stuck and break through the toll gate and immediately step on the gas to avoid paying.
“In the same class as the Audi A8L with a turbocharged V6 engine, yes, I don’t have the money to pay the 17 thousand rupiah toll, it’s inferior to a car,” wrote the account.
