Police confiscated three active bombs at the location

Previously, Densus 88 Anti-terror Police said the perpetrator was carrying seven bombs when the unfortunate incident occurred.Of the seven bombs, four of them exploded and the other three have not yet exploded.

“Information from Jibom (bomb squad) for the three bombs had not yet been detonated,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto when confirmed, Sunday (16/11).
Budi said that the three bombs had not yet been detonated because the perpetrator had already been injured by the explosion of four previous bombs.
“That’s right (because the perpetrator was already injured),” he said.
The three active bombs were immediately secured by the bomb team at the location shortly after the incident.Next, the bomb was disassembled and then used as evidence.
The three bombs were found in two places, namely at the trash bank and the SMA 72 reading park. The bombs were known to use a fuse mechanism with a fire starter.
“The bomb has been disassembled and is being used as evidence at the National Police Headquarters Puslabfor,” said Budi.
The explosion occurred at SMAN 72 North Jakarta, Friday (7/11) at around 12.15 WIB, in the school mosque area during Friday prayers.
There were no fatalities in the incident.However, 96 people were injured in the incident.
Spokesperson for Densus 88 Anti-terror Police AKBP Mayndra Eka Wardhana stated that the explosion at SMA 72 Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta was not terrorism.This action is called a general criminal act.
“There was no finding of any terrorist activity carried out by ABH (children in conflict with the law). So the actions carried out were purely general criminal acts,” he said at a press conference, Tuesday (11/11).
