Polda Metro Jaya explained the reasons for the ban

“No (worried about fleeing abroad), this ban process is to facilitate the investigation process carried out by Polda Metro Jaya,” said Budi at Polda Metro Jaya, Friday (21/11).
“So, to make things easier, a ban was carried out because the suspect himself during the final examination presented witnesses and experts who provided relief so that this process also continued,” he continued.
Budi said that the ban on Roy Suryo cs was carried out from 8 November for the next 20 days or until 27 November.He said investigators would immediately apply for an extension against Roy Suryo cs in the near future.
“The ban will be extended for the next 6 months. This letter is still being processed for the second ban,” he said.
Previously, Polda Metro Jaya named eight suspects divided into two clusters in connection with the alleged case of Jokowi’s fake diploma.
The first cluster consists of five suspects, namely Eggi Sudjana, Kurnia Tri Rohyani, Damai Hari Lubis, Rustam Effendi and Muhammad Rizal Fadillah.
Then the second cluster consisted of three suspects, namely Roy Suryo, Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar and Tifauziah Tyassuma alias Dr Tifa.
On Friday (14/11), Roy Suryo, Rismon and doctor Tifa were questioned for the first time as suspects.Investigators asked the three of them 377 questions during an examination that lasted more than nine hours.
Most recently, Polda Metro Jaya is known to have also banned Roy Suryo and seven other suspects from leaving the country.Apart from being banned, the suspects are also required to report once a week every Thursday.
“Yes, because he has suspect status, he is obliged to report and be banned,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto when confirmed, Thursday (20/11).
