Metro Jaya Police Chief
Inspector General of Police Asep Edi Suheri invited students in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya to play a role in preventing bullying in the school environment.
Asep conveyed this when leading the Saka Bhayangkara rally and the School Security Patrol (PKS) at the Precision Field of the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya, South Jakarta, Monday (17/11).
The rally was the momentum for the launch of a new program entitled School Security Student Police.

The rally was attended by 1,700 school students consisting of Saka Bhayangkara, Front Gugus Scouts, to PKS from all Polres within the ranks of Polda Metro Jaya.
Asep said the formation of the School Security Student Police aims to strengthen the active role of students in maintaining security and order in the school environment.
This program, he said, prioritizes the concept of ‘from students for students’ so that students are directly involved in preventive efforts in the educational environment.
“These student police will help maintain the smooth running of school activities, protect their friends, and report potential disturbances to teachers or school officials,” said Asep.
Asep said the School Security Student Police program aims to prevent negative actions in the school environment, one of which is bullying.
“Prevention in the event of brawls, drug abuse, prevention of negative acts such as bullying or so on and also prevention of other negative acts,” said Asep.
“Well, this is what we will continue to promote in each school so that school security is the responsibility of each student like that,” he continued.
Furthermore, Asep hopes that the presence of the School Security Student Police can create a safer school environment, free from brawls, drugs and other deviant behavior.
