The PO Cahaya Trans Bus stated that the current priority is the evacuation and assistance of all the crew and passengers of the ill-fated bus.

“Currently our priority is evacuation and assistance for all affected passengers and crew. We are cooperating fully with the authorities to handle the situation on the ground,” said PO Cahaya Trans’s statement on the Cahaya Trans Instagram account.
“We will provide further information periodically. Please pray from all friends for the victims and families.”
PO Cahaya Trans also provides a hotline for victims’ families who need related information or assistance.There are four contact numbers that the victim’s family can contact.
“We are trying and committed to accompanying the victim’s family in every necessary process,” wrote PO Cahaya Trans.
The Cahaya Trans bus with plate number B 7201 IV had a single accident on the Krapyak interchange toll road, Semarang, early Monday morning, killing 16 passengers.
At the time of the accident, the bus departing from Jatiasih Jakarta/Bekasi was going to Yogyakarta.From the results of the initial examination, it was suspected that the accident was caused by the bus speeding so that the driver lost control.
The bus, which lost control, then hit a road divider and rolled over.
Another fact is that at that time the bus was driven by a backup driver.The driver survived death, but is still undergoing intensive examination by the police to reveal the true cause of the accident.
