The two perpetrators, namely father and son, are named Sajid Akram, the other is Naveed Akram.They had time to go to the Philippines on November 1-25 2025.

Various media reported that the two people had gone to the Philippines to take part in terrorist group training.
“Of course, the President categorically rejects the common statements and misleading depictions of the Philippines as an ISIS training center,” Presidential Palace press official Claire Castro was quoted as saying

Philippine National Security Adviser Eduardo Ano also said there were no valid reports or confirmation that the two men had taken any form of military training while in the country.
“The visit alone does not support allegations of terrorist training, and the duration of their stay does not allow for meaningful or structured training,” Nao said.
The Philippine Immigration Office previously said Sajid and Naveed went to Manila and then to Davao while in the country.
Davao is a metropolitan city in Mindanao.Islamic militant groups reportedly operate in impoverished areas of central and southwest Mindanao.
Philippine authorities say the government has significantly weakened terrorist group cells in Mindanao since the Marawi siege in 2017.
The groups have splintered, lost leaders, and experienced reduced operational capabilities.
Last week, Sajid and Naveed fired shots into the crowd during Jewish Hanukkah celebrations at Bondi Beach.
As a result of this incident, 15 people died, including Sajid Akram, and dozens of people were injured.
