(Persero) is preparing 639,635 passenger tickets for the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 periods (
Nataru
).
Of this number, 133,780 tickets have been sold for departures from 11 December 2025 to 8 January 2026.
PELNI Main Director Tri Andayani said that the tickets provided had increased by 15 percent compared to last year’s realization of 551,485 tickets.

Meanwhile, actual ticket sales increased by 12.3 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
“The number of ships that we operate to serve the community during Christmas is 55 ships, consisting of 25 passenger ships and 30 pioneer ships. Of these 55 ships, there are 304 ports we visit,” he said in a press conference at the Borobudur Hotel, Wednesday (10/12).
Tri said that one of the factors driving the increase in ticket sales was a 20 percent fare discount.Discount is valid during the period 17 December 2025 to 10 January 2026.
Pelni estimates that there will be five busiest routes during the upcoming Christmas holiday period, namely Batam-Belawan (PP), Makassar-Bau-Bau (PP) and Manokwari-Sorong.
The five busiest departure ports are Ambon Port with an estimated service of 41,404 passengers, Makassar 37,088 passengers, Batam 27,789 passengers, Sorong 25,242 passengers, and Jayapura 21,871 passengers.
Meanwhile, the arrival ports predicted to be the most congested are Ambon Port with 36,263 passengers, Makassar with 35,092 passengers, Belawan with 24,840 passengers, Batam with 23,089 passengers and Sorong with 25,162 passengers.
In order to serve passengers well, the company has strengthened coordination with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga and BPH Migas so that the availability of fuel oil (BBM) for ships is safe.
“Regarding fuel availability this year, fuel availability is approximately 21 thousand km at 8 supply points, namely Jakarta, Surabaya, Makassar, Bitung, Ambon, Kupang, Dayakura and Sorong,” he concluded.
