It doesn’t stop there, PDRM will also involve the international police (Interpol) to get Adam Alis. This effort was made by PDRM to maintain the reputation of the Malaysian police in international eyes.
“This is because we are still communicating with the International Police (Interpol) and strategic partners in this country. The process will take time,” said Shazeli regarding the deadline for pursuing Adam Alis’ statement.
This case surfaced because of Adam’s video upload on Instagram social media. This player from Jakarta uploaded a video of himself and several Persib players being stopped by Malaysian police for going against traffic.
Because he did not carry a passport as a valid sign of being a foreign citizen, one of the Persib players, Robi Darwis, showed his TNI membership card. This happened after Selangor’s match against Persib in the 2025/2026 Asia Champions League Two.
The video then went viral and became a hot topic of conversation among the Malaysian public.Malaysian netizens asked PDRM to investigate this matter.According to them, Adam’s statement in the video seemed to insult the Malaysian police.
