as Chief of Staff.This determination was made at a joint meeting of Syuriyah and Tanfidziyah which was held at the PBNU Office in Central Jakarta, Saturday (13/12) afternoon.
Reporting from Antara, Deputy General Chairperson of PBNU Mohammad Mukri said that the meeting was attended directly by Rais Aam PBNU Miftachul Akhyar, Deputy Rais Aam Buya Afifuddin Muhajir, as well as Acting (Pj) General Chairperson of PBNU as a result of the Jakarta plenary meeting, Zulfa Mustofa.
“Among the results that were agreed upon was the repositioning of the Katib Aam. So since today the PBNU Katib Aam was determined at a joint meeting, today’s PBNU Katib Aam is Professor Doctor Haji Muhammad Nuh,” said Mukri.

According to him, the joint meeting was held as a follow-up to the previous plenary meeting, specifically to reposition the PBNU management.Apart from the appointment of the Chief of Staff, the meeting also agreed on the repositioning of a number of other positions in the PBNU management.
Mukri said that technical discussions regarding the repositioning would be followed up by a special team chaired directly by Rais Aam and Acting Chairman of PBNU Zulfa Mustofa.
During the meeting, it was also decided to form a committee to organize the National Conference (Munas) as well as the commemoration of NU’s centenary birthday (Harlah).
The upcoming National Conference will focus on preparations for the NU Congress, including initial discussions regarding the time and location of the event, although it has not yet been determined in detail.
“Earlier, our focus was on preparing for the upcoming Congress. The exact place and time have not been determined,” said Mukri.
NU is currently experiencing internal problems.Yahya Cholil Staquf has been dismissed by Rais Aam from the position of Chairman of the PBNU.In his place, Zulfa Mustofa was appointed to the plenary.
However, Yahya felt that the removal was invalid because it was not through a conference mechanism.Until now, Yahya still feels like he is the Chairman of PBNU.
