Operation Zebra 2025
starting today, Monday (17/11).This operation will be held for two weeks until November 30.
Operation Zebra was held throughout Indonesia with the aim of reducing the number of traffic violations and accidents while increasing awareness ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays.

“Operation Zebra is the initial stage to prepare orderly conditions on the roads, as well as educating the public to be disciplined in traffic ahead of the long Christmas holiday,” said National Police Traffic Police Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho in a written statement, Wednesday (12/11).
Agus said that action in the field would target aspects of driving discipline such as the use of helmets and seat belts and the prohibition on going against the flow.
Agus said Operation Zebra 2025 was also part of an early prevention strategy against potential violations that could disrupt the smooth flow of Nataru.
“With Operation Zebra, we want the public to be better prepared to face the heavy traffic during long holidays. The police are not just giving tickets, but educating and reminding them that safety is a priority,” he said.
Furthermore, Agus said that his party would increase pedestrian safety protection in the implementation of Operation Zebra 2025.
Agus explained the importance of protecting pedestrians as part of the national traffic safety strategy.He said, pedestrians are the most vulnerable road users and therefore must be given priority and protected first.
“Pedestrians are a symbol of humanity on the road. Those who are the weakest must be protected, not pushed aside,” he said.
