Indian police opened their voices regarding the shooting that targeted the Jewish community while celebrating Hanukkah at Bondi Beach, Australia, on Sunday (14/12).
The two shooters were son and father named Sajid Akram and Naveed Akram.

According to the police of the South Indian state of Telangana, Sajid Akram is an Indian citizen.He left India since the last 27 years to look for work in Australia.
“Sajid Akram is from Hyderabad, India. He… migrated to Australia in search of work some 27 years ago, in November 1998,” the police said in a statement, as quoted

In the same statement, police said that based on information from relatives in India, Sajid Akram had only had limited contact with family in Hyderabad for the past 27 years.
“He visited India six times after migrating to Australia, mainly for family matters such as property matters and to visit his elderly parents. It is understood he did not even return to India when his father died.”
Meanwhile, his son, Naveed, is recorded in Australian immigration data as an Australian citizen.
Telangana police said they had “no negative record” against Sajid during his time in India before his departure for Australia.
“Family members did not know about his radical thought patterns or activities, nor the circumstances that led to the radicalization process,” the statement said.
“The factors that led to the radicalization of Sajid Akram and his son, Naveed, appear to have no connection to India or local influence in Telangana,” he added.
