, following a case of beatings by six members of the National Police in Kalibata, South Jakarta.
Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners, Mahendra Siregar, said that the control would be carried out through business actors or creditors.
“We will look at the enforcement (matel/debt collector) in the context of the responsibility of the business owner (creditor) who assigned it. Because it cannot be separated from him,” stressed Mahendra after a press conference at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (16/12).

“If it is related to the case (Kalibata) itself, I think it has changed its form. It is no longer just a matter of violating regulations, but has become a crime and violation of the law,” he added.
Billing by third parties is permitted by the OJK.This is stipulated in OJK Regulation Number 35 of 2018 and POJK Number 22 of 2023.
Mahendra emphasized that there are indeed limitations set out in the POJK.According to him, OJK has established procedures and processes that must be carried out

) is the responsibility of the assigning party, namely the party providing the loan or facility to the customer,” emphasized Mahendra.
Six police officers have been named as suspects in beating two eagle eyes to death in Kalibata, South Jakarta.The six suspects came from the National Police Headquarters Service Unit (Yanma).
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Police Commissioner Budi Hermanto explained that the incident in Kalibata on Thursday (11/12) evening started with a motorbike being pulled on the road.This incident sparked a quarrel, because the National Police officers at the location did not accept the act of removing the motorbike keys.
Budi assesses that this incident is an evaluation material for finance companies (

) in credit collection.He emphasized that vehicle credit collection should be carried out using administrative channels.
