A total of three bodies were found by the joint SAR team in the disaster
landslide
in Cibeunying Village, Majenang District, Regency
Cilacap
, Central Java, Saturday (15/11).In total, 6 people have been found dead and dozens more have not been found.
Reporting from Antara, the three bodies found were Muhammad Hafiz (6 years), Nurisnaini (30 years), and Asmanto (70 years).All three were found at the same point, namely worksite A2.
Deputy for Emergency Management at the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Major General TNI Budi Irawan said that currently the team is still looking for 17 victims who have not been found.

He said heavy equipment was deployed to speed up the search for victims.
“We have worked optimally. From this morning there were only two heavy equipment, then there were four, and now it has increased to seven. Later we will be assisted with up to 12 heavy equipment,” said Budi Irawan at a press conference.
He said the terrain conditions were challenging because the victims were buried by landslide material at a depth of 3 meters to 8 meters.Additional heavy equipment is needed to speed up the excavation process and expand the search area.
“We hope that the weather will support this process so that it can speed up. All the basic needs of affected residents have been met. In accordance with the President’s direction, handling of victims must be complete, not only the search process, but also the provision of temporary shelter for residents whose houses can no longer be inhabited,” he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Cilacap SAR Office, Muhammad Abdullah, said that the search operation had been divided into two main sectors, namely sector A and sector B. Sector A included three worksites, namely A1, A2 and A3.Sector B consists of worksites B1 and B2.
“On the third day of implementation, the first two victims were found at worksite A2 dead. Most recently, at 11.37 WIB, one victim’s body part was again evacuated from the same location,” he said.
He said the evacuation process was carried out using an excavator because of the thickness of the landslide material and unstable ground conditions.
After being evacuated, all the bodies were taken to Majenang Regional Hospital for further identification by the medical team.
The landslide disaster occurred on Thursday (11/13), at around 19.00 WIB, destroying a number of residents’ houses in Tarukahan Hamlet and Cibuyut Hamlet, Cibeunying Village, Majenang District, Cilacap.
With the addition of these 3 deaths, a total of 6 people have died.Previously, 3 people had been found dead.Meanwhile, there are 17 victims who have not been found.
