East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government (
NTT
) determines the Provincial Minimum Wage (
UMP
) 2026 amounting to IDR 2,455,898.This amount is an increase of IDR 126 thousand or around 5.45 percent compared to the 2025 UMP which is IDR 2,328,969.
NTT Governor Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena said the increase had been officially determined through a gubernatorial decree.
“The NTT UMP in 2026 will increase by IDR 126 thousand. This means that wages in 2025 will be IDR 2,328,969 and next year the NTT UMP will increase to IDR 2,455,898,” said Laka Lena in Kupang, Tuesday (23/12), as reported by detikbali.

The determination of the 2026 NTT UMP is contained in the Governor’s Decree Number 528-KEP-HK/2025 which was stipulated on December 19 2025.
According to Laka Lena, this decision is a reference for all parties in implementing wages in the NTT region.
“This is a guideline for all workers throughout NTT and also the government and private sector are obliged to implement this governor’s decision,” he said.
Laka Lena explained that the UMP applies to workers with less than one year of service and is the minimum wage standard that employers must meet.
“The determination of the Provincial Minimum Wage is to protect workers with a working period of less than one year. Effective from January 1 to December 31, 2026,” he said.
With this determination, the NTT Provincial Government hopes that the provisions of the 2026 UMP can be implemented according to the rules by all business actors, both government and private sectors, in order to provide wage certainty for workers in NTT.
