Nova Arianto handed over his fate to PSSI after the Garuda Muda team finished the final Group H match of the 2025 U-17 World Cup with a win.
The Indonesian U-17 national team closed the Group H phase of the 2025 U-17 World Cup with a 2-1 win over Honduras.
The match which was held in Qatar on Monday (10/11) was the deciding step for Garuda Muda, although their fate in qualifying for the round of 32 via the best third place route still has to wait for the results from the other groups.

After the match, the Indonesian U-17 National Team Coach, Nova Arianto, gave his response regarding his future with the team.Nova admitted that he didn’t know which team he would train after this event and left the decision entirely to PSSI.
“In the future, I still don’t know yet, because after this we will definitely evaluate again what we did during the World Cup,” said Nova, quoted from the official PSSI release.
“And then I will hand it over to PSSI, what situation will happen in the future. We will see what it will be like in the future,” added Nova.
In the match against Honduras, Indonesia took the lead through Evandra Florasta’s penalty execution in the 52nd minute.
However, two minutes later, Honduras equalized through Luis Suazo’s penalty after I Putu Panji was deemed to have committed handball in the ‘forbidden box’.
Garuda Muda finally secured victory after Fadly Alberto Hengga scored a beautiful goal from outside the penalty box in the 72nd minute.The 2-1 score lasted until the match was over and gave Indonesia hope to move on to the next round.
However, the fate of the Indonesian U-17 National Team in the 2025 World Cup still depends on the results of other group matches.
