“So we are clarifying that it is not true that the alleged perpetrator was released by the Polda Metro Jaya police,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto to reporters, Monday (8/12).

Ayu and the four WO staff have been detained at the North Jakarta Metro Police.They are also still being investigated intensively regarding the alleged fraud they committed.
Budi said that investigators from the North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit will also immediately conduct a case to determine the legal status of Ayu et al.
“Investigators are still working to continue to shed light on this incident and report,” he said.
The police arrested Ayu Puspita along with four other reported persons for questioning in the alleged fraud case.However, the five of them still have the status of witnesses.
“We have received reports from the WO victims. Currently, as of last night, we are examining five people from the WO,” said North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head Commissioner Onkoseno Gradiarso Sukahar to reporters, Monday (8/12).
Onkoseno said that in total his party received 87 reports from victims.Onkoseno said that his party was still calculating the amount of losses suffered by the victims, but it was estimated that the losses would reach hundreds of millions.
On Sunday (7/12), around 200 fraud victims raided Ayu’s residence in East Jakarta.The situation also heated up.
East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Alfian Nurrizal said that his party immediately went to the location to carry out mediation.After that, the perpetrator was immediately taken to the North Jakarta Metro Police.
“The situation heated up because the crowd demanded accountability from the wedding organizer,” he said.
