“The speed of finding victims is part of saving human dignity. Every life is very valuable, and we are working optimally with all available resources, including K9,” said Inspector General Pol Whisnu.
Not only that, all aid for victims of natural disasters has been supplied to the aid logistics warehouse in the Silangit Airport area, North Tapanuli. The warehouse is the largest aid distribution center that supplies the needs of victims in the Tapteng and Sibolga areas.
“The aid is in the form of food, blankets, baby equipment, mineral water, emergency tents and medicines. This aid will be distributed as quickly as possible considering that a number of affected locations are still isolated and difficult to reach by four-wheeled vehicles,” he explained.
Aid at the Silangit Airport warehouse will be dispatched in stages using air and land routes which are now starting to open. The Regional Police Chief ensures that coordination between the TNI-Polri, Regional Government, BNPB and volunteers is integrated, so that no evacuation points are neglected.
“The process of distributing aid is carried out transparently, prioritizing residents who need it most, especially families who have lost their homes and property,” he concluded.
