FIFA announced the 11 players who were nominated for the 2025 Puskas Award on Friday (14/11) early morning WIB.
Of the 11 players, Rizky Ridho’s name is included.Ridho is the only Asian player who has the chance to win the Puskas Award this year.

Since the Puskas Award was first held in 2009, no Indonesian player has ever been nominated until 2024.
Rizky Ridho was nominated for the Puskas Award with the goal he scored with the Kemayoran Tigers against Arema FC in the 2024/2025 Liga 1 competition, last March.However, Ridho’s goal from the middle of the field did not help Persija avoid a 1-3 defeat.
With this beautiful goal, Rizky Ridho competed with other big names such as Barcelona star, Lamine Yamal, and Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice.

If he wins, Rizky Ridho will be the first Indonesian player to win the Puskas Award.Meanwhile, for the Southeast Asia region, Ridho will be the second ASEAN player to receive this prestigious award.In 2016, Malaysian player Mohd Faiz Subri won the Puskas Award while playing for Penang.
Meanwhile in the Asian region, after Faiz Subri, South Korean star Song Heung Min won the Puskas Award in 2020 after breaking into Burnley’s goal while wearing a Tottenham Hotspur uniform.
