stated that there was no intimidation of Indonesian kickboxing athlete, Andi Mesyara Jerni Maswara at the 2025 SEA Games.
Okto explained that Indonesian athletes were actually threatened with disqualification from winning medals because they uploaded videos criticizing SEA Games organizers on social media.
However, his party, in this case represented by KOI Indonesia Exco Member Krisna Bayu, lobbied the organizing committee so that the medal would still be awarded to the athlete.

Okto also confirmed that Krisna asked the athlete to delete the video so that the medal would not be lost.As a result, Jerni won bronze at the 2025 SEA Games.
“Previously, this athlete was not given a medal. In the end, the medal was still given thanks to Brother Bayu’s diplomacy. So I make sure there is no intimidation,” said Okto in Jakarta, Wednesday (24/12).
Okto said that the Indonesian Kickboxing Confederation (AKC) has specific regulations regarding the use of social media for athletes.Therefore, Jerni’s video upload was deemed to violate the rules.
“Not many international sports federations have certain rules regarding social media. Coincidentally, kickboxing has those rules,” he explained.
Previously, Indonesian kickboxing athlete Andi Mesyara admitted that he was intimidated by the Indonesian NOC before the 2025 SEA Games medal ceremony.
