Apart from civilians, one of the two shooters was also shot dead by police at the scene.
After going through the investigation process, the Australian Police said the two perpetrators were father and son, respectively named Sajid Akram and Naveed Akram.

Trump and Netanyahu praise Ahmed
United States President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Ahmed’s actions in seizing the perpetrator’s weapons.Trump called Ahmed a very brave figure.
“Very brave, who directly attacked the shooter and saved many people,” he said.
Trump said that currently Ahmed was still being treated in hospital due to serious injuries.He was reportedly shot twice in the leg.
Apart from Trump, Netanyahu also praised Ahmed.
“We saw the actions of a brave man, who turned out to be a brave Muslim, and I respect him, who stopped one of these terrorists from killing innocent Jews,” Netanyahu said.
Recorder of Ahmed’s heroic actions spoke out
The resident who recorded Ahmed’s heroic actions, Theodore Okur, said he captured the moment from his apartment.
Okur said he was initially heading to the beach to buy a barbecue.However, after hearing gunfire, he rushed back to his residence.
“When the shooting started on the bridge, the man was 10 meters in front of me,” Okur was quoted as saying

He said he did not believe the footage taken.However, Okur also praised Ahmed’s actions and called him a hero.
“I was very lucky to be able to witness this. To be the only person to film this scene, which was very scary,” said Okur.
Tycoon donated IDR 1.6 billion
Jewish tycoon in the United States and CEO of Pershing Capital Management, Bill Ackman, reportedly donated US$99,000 or around Rp. 1.6 billion to Ahmed Al Ahmed.
Ackman’s financial manager asked someone to create a donation page for Ahmed.
“Can one create a verified donation page so we can honor his family?”wrote Ackman, quoted by 9news.com, Monday.
Ackman then donated US$99,000 to the crowdfunding page.The donation has now been reported to have reached US$340,000 or around Rp. 5.6 trillion.
The perpetrator is suspected of being related to ISIS
Australian media reported that the Australian Domestic Intelligence Agency (ASIO) had investigated one of the perpetrators of the shooting, namely Naveed Akram.He is suspected of having strong ties to the Sydney branch of the terrorist cell of the ISIS group.
Investigators from the Joint Counter Terrorism Team (JCTT) believe that the shooters had sworn allegiance to the ISIS terrorist group.
Global condemnation
The international community, including Indonesia, strongly condemns the shooting incident at Bondi Beach.
“The Government of the Republic of Indonesia strongly condemns the violent actions that occurred at Bondi Beach, Sydney, on December 14 2025, which resulted in fatalities and injuries,” said a release from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ release, the Indonesian government also expressed its condolences to the families of the victims, and also prayed for the victims who were injured.
“Indonesia expresses its sense of solidarity with the Government and people of Australia at this difficult time,” they continued.
Apart from Indonesia, the United States, England, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Finland and Iran.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghei said he condemned the incident.
“We condemn the violent attack in Sydney, Australia. Terror and murder of humans everywhere is rejected and condemned,” said Baghaei, quoted by Al Jazeera.
