Uzbekistan club Navbahor FK reveals reasons for recruiting

became a coach after previously being linked with the Indonesian National Team.
Timur Kapadze, who continues to be linked with being a candidate for coach of the Indonesian National Team to replace Patrick Kluivert, has apparently officially accepted the offer to become coach of the Uzbekistan League club, Navbahor FK on Monday (1/12).
The club announced the certainty of Kapadze joining Navbahor via their official page and Instagram.

“Navbahor football club today officially introduced Timur Kapadze as its new head coach,” read an official club statement.
“The experienced coach has discussed all related matters with the club management and reached full agreement regarding the team’s future plans and targets. Both parties have signed a contract.”
In his statement, Navbahor stated that the reason for recruiting Timur Kapadze as a coach was because he had successful experience in managing teams, both age and senior levels.
“Throughout his coaching career, he has led various teams from youth level to senior national teams successfully. Under his guidance, these teams achieved great results on the international stage,” said Navbahor.
“Navbahor management believes that Kapadze’s experience, professional outlook and modern approach to football will play an important role in realizing the targets set by the club,” Navbahor added.
Kapadze is a respected coach in Uzbek football.He has experience and proven success in managing the Uzbekistan U-23 national team and leading the team at the 2024 Olympics.
He has also coached the Uzbekistan national team starting in January 2025. Under Kapadze’s tactics, the Uzbekistan national team managed to qualify for the World Cup finals for the first time.
Kapadze then decided to resign from his position as coach of the Uzbekistan national team in November 2025, after the Uzbekistan Football Federation (UFA) appointed former Italian national team defender, Fabio Cannavaro, to manage the team at the 2026 World Cup. The reason was that at that time Kapadze was not willing to become an assistant coach.
