alias Mualem received news that 80 tons of aid in Bener Meriah Regency was suspected to be missing, so many people there lacked logistics.
According to Mualem, a lot of aid has actually entered the area via air routes stationed at Rembele Airport.
“Actually, Bener Meriah-Central Aceh, if we think about it, is already optimal. But it depends on the field whether they hit the target or not. I heard bird news or invalid news, yes, 80 tons were lost somewhere. We dropped them all off in Bener Meriah,” said Muzakir Manaf to journalists, Wednesday (10/12) evening.
For this reason, Mualem has asked Military Commander Iskandar Muda and Aceh Regional Police Chief to investigate the alleged missing aid.
“I don’t know, we’ll check first whether it’s true or not. We don’t believe people who have just heard the news about birds, right? Later together we will have the Commander of the Military and the Regional Police Chief to investigate,” he said.
He also hopes that the Regent of Bener Meriah can control and distribute basic necessities to the community fairly and evenly, so that the community can survive.
“Because we know that Bener Meriah is where they deliver (the aid) because there is an airport there that we are allowed to use,” he said.
Another problem in Bener Meriah and Central Aceh, said Mualem, is currently related to electricity and fuel supplies which are very low, so heavy equipment and transportation for aid supplies are jammed.
Head of the Data and Information Center for the Bener Meriah Regency Hydrometeorological Disaster Handling Post, Ilham Abdi, said that his party had not received any information about the loss of logistics in the post’s warehouse.

Likewise, if there are donors or those who send logistics to the people of Bener Meriah, they always record it and where they want it to go, then they take it to the airport cargo warehouse and then place it in the post warehouse.
“Regarding information about missing logistics, it is certain that those that have entered the logistics warehouse are not there. At the airport we only brought those addressed to the people of Bener Meriah, they were received by officers at Rembele Airport and then taken to the warehouse under escort,” he said.
