Spokesperson for Densus 88 Anti-terror Police, AKBP Mayndra Eka Wardhana, said that the perpetrator often visited online communities, especially forums and darknet sites, before carrying out his actions.
He said the site visited by the alleged perpetrator contained videos or photos related to war, murder and other sadistic acts.
“Which shows videos or photos of people who have actually died, usually as a result of accidents, war, murder or other brutal events,” he told reporters, Monday (10/11).

The alleged perpetrator also expressed his frustration through writing and pictures.
From the information gathered, the alleged perpetrator is said to have expressed his frustration by writing a letter in class.
“From the results of the initial examination, there was a feeling of displeasure, a feeling of conveying, but not frontally. Conveying in writing, images,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto to reporters, Monday.
However, Budi has not revealed further details regarding the expression of annoyance conveyed by the alleged perpetrator.
Regarding this, Budi also reminded the school and parents to be more sensitive to the students’ conditions, including the stories they convey.
“This is where our collective concern lies, we as parents, when children are at school carrying out teaching and learning education, this is what we have to encourage them to do, whether the writing is on the wall on the table. If we are quick and responsive, maybe we can mitigate and eliminate bigger incidents,” he said.
Previously, an explosion occurred at SMAN 72 North Jakarta, Friday (7/11) at around 12.15 WIB, in the school mosque area during Friday prayers.
There were no fatalities in the incident.However, there were 96 people injured in the incident.
Densus 88 Anti-terror Police said there were seven explosives brought by the alleged perpetrator to SMAN 72 Jakarta.Of the total explosives carried by the alleged perpetrator, four of them exploded in two different locations.
Meanwhile, the other three explosives have not been used and have been confiscated by officers for further investigation.
