Ministry of Trade (

cooking oil
Oilita
with a combined system (

) to retailers.
The Director General of Domestic Trade (Dirjen PDN) of the Ministry of Trade, Iqbal Shoffan Shofwan, said that this practice not only harms people’s market traders, but also violates the rules for distributing Oilita which should be sold according to regulations.
“The worst sanction is having his business license revoked. If his business license is revoked, he can no longer do business in Indonesia. If he does business in Indonesia, that means he has violated the law,” said Iqbal in a media briefing at the Ministry of Trade Office, Central Jakarta, Friday (19/12).

According to Iqbal, the report is about practice
bundling
continues to be accepted by the ministry through the ranks of the Directorate General of Consumer Protection and Orderly Commerce (Ditjen PKTN).
He said routine monitoring measures were carried out and notification letters regarding sanctions against perpetrators of violations were issued almost every month.
“Friends from TN (Order of Commerce), for example, I think almost every month I receive a letter from the Order of Commerce which imposes sanctions on traders like that,” he said.
He admitted that practices like this would always appear in the field, especially by unscrupulous sellers who try to take advantage of the limited supply of Minyakita to increase profits. However, he emphasized that the government must still be present to monitor it.
“There will continue to be traders like that, but of course we respect them, not just the traders, we appreciate TN’s efforts to continue to carry out supervision effectively and efficiently. There will definitely always be people like that, but the government must be present,” he said.
In this supervision, the central government does not work alone.Iqbal explained that through the new regulations, regional governments (Pemda) are now given the authority to participate in supervising retailers so that response and action can be quicker and more responsive.
“This means that up until now this has only been done purely by us, now in this new trade regulation we are also giving regional governments the right to be able to participate in monitoring, especially retailers. So it should be quicker and more responsive,” he explained.
