“The condition is very worrying but we have recorded it,” he added.
He ensured that the government would not abandon Islamic educational institutions affected by the disaster in Sumatra.
“Thank God, compared to other educational institutions, we still have relatively few people affected by the mud and it has been cleaned up.”
Nevertheless, Nasaruddin said that one Islamic boarding school II was reported missing and was still in the process of further data collection, especially in the Aceh Tamiang area.
“There is one that was destroyed, there is one that is missing that we can detect, but the Tamiang is still there. Aceh Tamiang still needs to re-register it, because I didn’t have time yesterday because the bridge was just about to be connected,” he explained.
He said the Ministry of Religion was fully committed to supporting the repair of religious education facilities damaged or lost due to the disaster.
“We will not abandon our brothers and sisters in Sumatra, that is, Islamic education will provide support for the weak and including those who are weak,” he said.
