) asked the affected local governments

and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra to immediately shift the budget from other posts to unexpected costs (BTT).
Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs Tomsi Tohir said this step had to be taken because many regions were starting to experience depletion of BTT budgets towards the end of the year.
“Regarding budgeting needs, of course the budget for unexpected costs (BTT) in each district, city and province is also getting thinner towards the end of the year. We have also given directions regarding budget shifts from other posts to the BTT,” said Tomsi at the BNPB Building, East Jakarta, Thursday (27/11).

Tomsi explained that the Minister of Home Affairs had previously issued directions to regional governments to ensure disaster preparedness.
Now, the Ministry of Home Affairs has also deployed a team from the Directorate General of Regional Administration to assist with handling because the characteristics of disasters in each region are different.
“Hopefully friends in the regions and with the coordination of the Coordinating Minister and all ministry friends can go all out by preparing sufficient facilities and budget,” he said.
On the same occasion, Head of Basarnas Marsdya Mohammad Syafii said that his party carried out eight operations in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
He said the SAR operation would prioritize rescuing residents experiencing emergencies.
“The same applies to victims who are still being searched for, that is also our priority scale. Especially in relation to landslides, we will take actions starting manually and also using technology,” said Syafii.
